IT specialists, from some of the most important Transylvanian companies, participated on the 10th of October, in Cluj-Napoca, at Technology Day, an event that brought in the spotlight the latest technologies offered by BRINEL and HPE.
The event has been an interactive one, the participants showing a real interest in the featured presentations, and one of the most discussed technologies was also the hyper-converged infrastructure solution, Simplivity, presented by our colleague Dan Fejer, Product Manager.
“HPE Simplivity represents the most complete approach on the hyper-converged infrastructure topic, because it is able to unite in a single device, not only compute and storage workloads but also backup. In this manner it manages to drastically reduce the «footprint» of a data centre, thus bringing a multitude of benefits with it, from enhanced efficiency and performance, to reduced costs and a TCO that is a lot better than the case of some classic solutions”, explained Dan Fejer, at the event.
BRINEL has already deployed, for two of its clients, the Simplivity solution, thus being the first projects of their kind in the country.
“The Simplivity implementation brought for the two BRINEL clients a considerable performance improvement, the simplification and efficiency of backup processes, but most of all the streamlining of data traffic between equipments from disparate locations, one of the main assets of the technology on which the Simplivity hyper-convergent structure is based on, making the replication of the off-site virtual machines an extremely simple process”, says the BRINEL Product Manager.
The agenda also featured the Primera presentation, the latest storage from HPE, released not long ago in Romania, but also GreenLake, the solution that allows you to pay only as much as you are using from the infrastructure in your own data centre.
